It's my impression that the location of the files is secondary to the
statements they contain. The fact that you can use the http transport
mechanism on http://xmlns.com/foaf/0.1/ to retrieve some relevant data is
orthogonal to the use of that resource identifier in logical statements. (02)
For example, the file at: (03)
http://dannyayers.com/misc/foaf/foaf.rdf (04)
contains statements including one that says (in effect): (05)
[Danny] foaf:knows [Kenneth] (06)
and the file at: (07)
http://cemc.ccom.edu.cn/htmlDocs/foaf.rdf (08)
includes: (09)
[Kenneth] foaf:knows [Barbara Fields-Bernstein] (010)
Although there are related issues of trust & provenence etc, these
statements are effectively independent of those two addresses. They are both
talking about the same foaf:Person called Kenneth. (011)
> FOAF is people centric. A piece of music belongs to someone, a document
> belongs to someone,
> a intellectual piece of property belongs to someone. So people can set
> a foaf file in their home directory
> that describes all there products, works, theories (hasGreatIdea),
> partOfAssociation (ISEA).

> So this will then create the many cross relationships in our ontology
> from some Person to say,
> Group/Association/MediaArtsAssociation/ISEA . (012)
Yep, that sounds a good way to go. (013)
btw, check out:

Danny. (015)
